If you’re looking for a place away from it all, that’s picture perfect, with beautiful surroundings and a house that immediately feels like home, I cannot recommend Negreval highly enough. We enjoyed one of the most idyllic holidays there and hope to return soon. The nearby village will take you back in time and we spent many days roaming the lush countryside and bathing in the fresh lake just a few minutes drive away. The house itself is big and has a lot of beautiful outside space with gardens and a dining area with chocolate box views. The decor was immediately welcoming and the local French food was as high quality as anything you’d find in Paris. We were there in early summer and it was hot, hot, hot. It’s a short flight and easy drive to get there and really is an amazing find.

We spent a delightful week at the Negreval House. Having been a family home for so many years, it has a friendly warmth rarely found, and the gardens are picturesque and abundant.

We loved the sense of space and light... the expansive and private views from the house and garden across the surrounding fields... the charming lanes and roads for walking... and the close proximity to so many places for provisioning and excursions (including a deliciously cool stream to picnic and frolick in nearby).

But most of all, we loved our long, long lunches under the cherry tree, sipping cool rosé, nibbling saucisson and conversing. So many quiet corners. Enough space for everyone to find their space - inside or out. So many shady trees to sleep under after lunch! We can
recommend it most highly as a very special holiday home away from home.
